Company

Okra and OkraMD.com are operated by 3sparks labs llc. This is the company name shown when you purchase Okra through Stripe.

Personal data

Okra does not require an Okra account, sell personal data, or include advertising or analytics SDKs in the app codebase.

Your files

Okra opens Markdown files and folders you choose. Those files remain where they already live, and Okra does not upload your documents to an Okra service or hidden library.

Local settings

Okra may store app preferences on your device, such as appearance, editor font choices, and preview settings.

License activation

When you activate or validate Okra 2, the app sends the serial number, a hashed machine identifier, and the Mac name to the licensing service. This information is used to validate the license, enforce its activation limit, and let you manage activated Macs.

Purchases

Stripe processes checkout for 3sparks labs llc and receives the payment and customer information you provide there. The licensing service uses purchase information, including the purchaser's email address, to issue and deliver the serial. Stripe and the licensing service process this information under their respective privacy practices.

Remote Markdown content

If a Markdown file references a remote HTTPS image, Okra may request that image from the host named in the file and cache it on your device. Plain HTTP image URLs are blocked.

Website

This website counts visits and download clicks anonymously, using our own server. There are no cookies, no advertising pixels, no newsletter tracking, and no third-party analytics services. Each record holds only a timestamp, the page path, the event name, and the referring site — nothing that identifies you or your device. Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse and is never stored. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded at all.
